Blue light from your cell phone can keep your brain overstimulated and prevent you from achieving the kind of rest needed to recharge your system.
Mental Detox:
A great way to calm your mind and stay grounded is to practice yoga or meditation. Yoga helps you focus your mind and energy on your body and can assist in releasing muscle tension. If you practice yoga consistently, it can gradually soothe your body and ease your anxious thoughts.
Nutrition:
Another key factor in the equation is to identify any internal factors that might be causing stress, such as the foods you’re eating. Consuming the wrong foods can increase the dysregulation of your nervous system. Sugary foods and caffeinated drinks can spike anxiety levels, cause overstimulation, and make it difficult for you to recover from the resulting “high” they give. Instead, opt for unprocessed foods, fruits and vegetables, and plenty of protein to help your brain stay balanced and active.
